It’s a rare thing for a new cigar brand to have its release, then almost instantly be chosen as a Cigar Aficionado #1 pick. But such was the case with Flor de Las Antillas in 2012, and its Toro size in particular. It certainly helps that the FDLA cigars are made by the My Father company, which has a stellar reputation to begin with.
The Flor de Las Antillas is blended with pure Nicaraguan tobaccos, including an attractive Sun Grown wrapper. This blend creates a flavour profile in the creamy/sweet range. The construction – as can be expected from an Aficionado #1 pick – is superb.
